Series T8000 (222 - 303 hp)

When New Holland launched Series TG tractors four years ago, this flagship tractor pointed the way forward in terms of styling and functionality. New Series T8000, arrived Spring 2006 and replaces TG, leading the way again in terms of performance and productivity levels with four new models ranging from 218 to 303 horsepower.

While they feature a name change reflecting New Holland’s new approach to model numbering, the unique styling that farmers have come to know still remains the same.

Pure Thoroughbred Muscle

At the heart of new T8000, these new Tier III compliant tractors feature new 24 valve 8.3 litre engines. They are electronically controlled with a new high pressure, common rail injection system that’s quieter, cleaner and more powerful than previous models. By nature these electronic engines monitor and respond better to changing conditions, improving engine life and performance and very importantly - reducing fuel consumption.

As with all leading engines an efficient cross-flow head system is utilized that takes air from one side and exhausts directly out the other side. Compared to systems that exhaust air on the same side as the air intake, the cross-flow head keeps air cooler, provides smooth air flow and better coolant circulation for longer engine life.

All models feature electronic engine management for the convenience and fuel savings of setting a constant speed or ‘cruise’ control. Refuelling intervals are extended with a large 682 litre fuel tank for more time in the field.

The Right Speed For The Job

T8000 now offers two transmission options to choose from; the 40kph 23F/6R with creep and a new 50kph 19F/4R version. The standard specification 23F/6R offers eight working speeds from 4.9 to 12.9kph with a consistent 14% speed change between gears.

This transmission option also accommodates those requiring the use of creeper speeds and cleverly enables the operator to engage and disengage the creeper gears at the end of rows without stopping. The new 19F/4R 50kph version will suit those operators requiring greater speed for haulage work or for contractors travelling between jobs. It can also be of benefit to those who choose to ‘throttle back’ giving a 40kph travelling speed at reduced engine revs for increased fuel economy.

Terraglide™ front axle suspension is standard specification when specified with a 50kph transmission. Both transmissions are enhanced with the convenience of AutoShift™ automatic transmission features in both road and field modes with the push of a button, providing even more flexibility.

A Balanced Designed

Like previous TG, outstanding weight distribution is ensured with the engine centrally mounted directly to the transmission, guaranteeing optimum traction regardless of the application. Additionally no unnecessary engine-to-transmission power loss is experienced due to this design.

Real Axle Choice

Three front axle options are available to the T8000 purchaser - being a conventional standard axle, New Holland’s Terraglide™ front suspension axle or the exclusive SuperSteer™ version.

The SuperSteer™ 65 degree turning-angle front axle is ideal for farmers looking for a tractor with optimum turning ability with no compromise on wheel base. It’s very long wheelbase is designed to enhance traction and ride quality. Terraglide™ suspended versions deliver enhanced traction, stability, control and comfort, making it ideal for contractors.

Fully locking front differentials are standard specification.

Hydraulic Power On Demand

Heavy implements are made ‘light work’ of with huge lift capacities through the full lifting range unlike some tractors where lift capacities are often measured midway through the lift range. Lift capacities range from 7243kg to 8214kg.

The standard specified closed centre load sensing hydraulic system delivers a more than plentiful flow at 146 L/min. For those operators requiring more, the optional Megaflow™ system is available providing an unprecedented 257 L/min ensuring even the largest and most specialized equipment is handled with ease.

Two pumps provide two separate circuits, to allow two systems, such as a low-flow/high pressure system from one remote and a high-flow/low pressure system from another remote, to be operated simultaneously without sacrificing performance. Up to five remotes are available.

Unmatched Ride Comfort

As with TG, T8000 offers a superb unequalled operator working environment with huge glass area and plentiful room. With the addition now of the new armrest mounted IntelliView™ II monitor, which is fully ISOBus 11783 compatible.

This provides an interface for ISOBus compatible machinery to be connected to the tractor via the IntelliView™ monitor, without the requirement of additional monitors. This means operation is quicker and easier than ever before.
